The Riverstone Museum is open to the public subject to COVID-19 restrictions. The situation is regularly appraised to ensure safe conditions for visitors and volunteers. Welcome This site has been designed to promote the Riverstone & District Historical Society & museum as well as Riverstone’s long history (200 years in 2010). We would like to share our local history resources with a wider audience and to ask you, the community to contribute to our collection.
Riverstone & District Historical Society The Riverstone & District Historical Society was formed in 1980. The Society operates the Riverstone Museum which opened in 1988 and was originally known as the Blacktown City Bicentennial Museum.
Since 1997, the Society has published an annual journal featuring articles on local history and events.
The Society is a non-profit organisation, operated purely by dedicated volunteers.
The Society meets at 10:30 am on the last Sunday of every second month, at the museum. (The first meeting for year is February.)
Museum Opening Hours First Sunday of every month. (except January) Time: 11 – 2pm. Entry is free but donations are appreciated. See us on Facebook
